Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor hailing from Bahrain's Manama was brought up in the multicultural home of a family. Jacqueline's dad Elroy Fernandez is a from Sri Lanka. She has two brothers and an older sister. The family relocated to Bahrain during the 1980s because of the Lankan civil unrest and hence her birth and education were in Bahrain. She was given a scholarship to go to the University of Sydney in Sydney Australia following the completion of her education in Bahrain. Having a passion for cultures and languages she also was a part of the Berlitz school of languages, in which she was able to learn Spanish and improved her French as well as Arabic. In addition, she was crowned Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6, 2006 and competed at Miss Universe 2006. In 2006, she took home the Miss Sri Lanka title. Following that, she stepped into television to host an interview show on Sri Lankan businesses called Lanka Business Report. Padukone (the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and grew up in Bangalore. In her teens she played in badminton championships at national and international levels. She later quit the game to make a profession as a fashion designer. Padukone was born in Mangalore in India. Her mother tongue Konkani is where she comes from. Padukone is a village located in Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is an international badminton champion who is retired. Her mom is a traveling agent.
